Class Announcements Classroom NeedsDear Parents,
I am in need of some helping hands throughout the week to work with students as well as help me with simple paperwork (such as filing student work to go home, making copies, or helping to create/assemble materials for classroom activities). If you have any time during the week to spare I would be glad to work with your schedule. Send me an email to palmerjx@pwcs.edu with days and times and I would love to have you join our classroom! It has also become that time of year where supplies are running out. OUr classroom is currently in need of tissues and glue sticks. Any donations would be appreciated! Thanks!  December Quality StudentOur December Quality Student was Aidan Mosher. Aidan comes to school each day ready to learn. He makes sure that he is ready for the day and has brought all of his needed materials to class each day. Aidan is focused and quiet and does his best on each task. We are very proud of Aidan for his hard work! Readskins ReadThe school's Redskin's read program has come to a close. I am very proud of our class and all of the hard work and time spent reading. We were able to score a touchdown and go a few more yards past that! With our touchdown score, we earned a CD of the Redskins reading various books. We have already listened to one and can't wait to hear more!  October Quality StudentOur October Quality Student was Marisa Gueriera! Marisa comes to school every day ready to learn. She follows our class' characteristics of a quality student and is always happy to help out Ms. Palmer or others in the classroom. Thanks Marisa for doing a great job! Our Class Vision and MissionOur class voted at the beginning of the year on our class vision. This is how we would like to see ourselves throughout the entire year. Our class vision is to grow to be great second grade students!
In order to complete our class vision, we voted on actions that we should all take to ensure success. Our class mission is to Listen to others Participate in class respect all students and Help one another. Quality Students and TeacherOur class also discussed characteristics of Quality Students and Teachers. We talked about how these characteristics will help and support us to succeed and to be quality students and learners.
In order to be Quality Students we must: Listen Be caring and helpful to others Complete all classwork and homework Help to keep the room clean and Walk nicely in the hallway In order to be a Quality Teacher I must: Keep the classroom organized Be helpful to students Give clear directions Listen and let everyone have a chance to talk and Be nice to parents Discussion Topics Class Files

Class Homework No "Class Homework" exist(s) Class Links  Raz KidsGreat Online reading website. Students brougt home a card that tells their username and password in order to use the site. Have fun! Snowflake Cutting ActivityTHis is a cute snowflake website. Students worked with it during our computer time and loved it. We get to use a great tool,the computer, to create snoflakes using the idea of symmetry. Try it out! |
